You may find these Adobe PhotoShop books useful when you create your own eCovers with the Adobe Photoshop software:

Skyrocket your Ebook sales with a great cover.

It's true... people DO judge Ebooks -and other products- by their cover. A well designed cover will make a statement, and your product will stand out from the rest... what means that you will sell more copies.

When I removed my "worn out" Ecover on the sales page for my "Web Site and Ezine Promotion Made Easy" book, and replaced it with an Ecover that I had designed for me by a professional graphic designer, I noticed an increase in sales within the first 48 hours!

So, if you plan to sell BIG... be sure to create a stunning cover for your product.

When it comes time to give your Ebook the best cover treatment, you have many options.

There are software tools available that will let you do all the work, and there are a number of skilled designers that you can contract to design your Ecover for you.

I have my own Ebook cover design service, where I charge people only $10 for one cover in small, medium and large format. For more info click here.

Adobe PhotoShop Template Packages

If you don't want to hire a professional, or if you don't have the money to pay one, then
you can work with an Ecover template package. These packages contain Ebook cover
templates that are already designed for you, and all you need to do is enter your own
copy -or add additional graphics- and you'll have your cover ready in no time. (A copy
of Adobe PhotoShop is required to use these templates.)

But... why not go professional with Adobe PhotoShop Action Scripts? ;-)

It's really not that hard as you may think to create professional graphics. And if you have
a copy of the Adobe Photoshop software, there's really no limit to your creativity.

With PhotoShop you can use "PhotoShop Action Scripts". These Actions Scripts are
a pre-programmed set of layout instructions for PhotoShop, and when they are executed
from within Photoshop, they create your final graphics - be it a stunning software box,
a papperback Ebook, a membership card or a DVD/CD case/cover.

Click here to view some attention-grabbing Ecovers that I have designed recently with the easy-to-use Adobe Action Scripts.

As I said, to use these action scripts, you require a copy of Adobe PhotoShop and some graphic skills to create the initial 2D design.

Then you run one of the action scripts to generate the final, high-resolution 3D design complete with shadows and reflections. This is exactly how the professional ecover graphic artists do it.

My favorite ones are a set called "eCover Scripts" This is a great collection of PhotoShop action scripts. Get your hands on these, and in no time you will be creating dynamite looking covers.

PS: If you start designing your Ecovers, you will need a vast collection of clipart, photo's,
images and graphics to add/fill your Ecover.

If you don't know where to find these pics, but would like to have instant access to a huge
collection of over 1600 graphics, with Master Resale Rights included, you should check out the Product Resellers and Business Clipart And Graphics Collection.

You may also find some of the following books useful for creating your own ebook covers. I especially recommend Scott Kelby's excellent PhotoShop manuals, as they contain tons of easy to implement tutorials to create stunning graphics. Click on one of the book covers for more details.
